Jason has devoted the majority of his 25-year career to working alongside not-for-profit organizations and small businesses, assisting leaders in navigating their finances to prioritize their missions. In 2023, he established Onward Finance + Accounting based on the belief that reliable, relevant, and timely financial reporting should be accessible to every organization, not just those with larger budgets. Strong financial information empowers better decisions, accountability, and long-term sustainability—particularly in the realm of nonprofit financial management.

In addition to his client work, Jason is actively involved in the nonprofit community. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Finance Committee of New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School, in addition to being on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Chapter of the Society of Louisiana CPAs. Jason also supports various community and mutual aid organizations, including WYES, WWNO, Parisite Skate Park, the LA/SPCA, and the Forum for Equality. As a straight-edge punk, he is an ally and advocate for underserved communities and a dedicated supporter of animal rescues (adopt, don't shop!). He certainly wants to pet your dog.

As a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant, Jason approaches his work collaboratively and pragmatically. He enjoys coffee, punk and hardcore music, stand-up comedy, trivia, traveling, and cooking. He and his amazing wife, Ann, reside in uptown New Orleans with their rescue dog, Moose, and their three-legged cat, Toonces (featured above, diligently working at Onward's Global Headquarters).
